It's a great place that's clean and well stocked. Not the best price around, but definitely clean and has most of your Japanese needs. The food court is pretty awesome, with the best ramen house around. Used to be cash only and now it's credit only lol. Lots of delicious snack corners and bakery as well. Plus a dedicated One Piece store!

Food Court: 8/10 Closest thing you can get to experiencing Japan in Chicago. This marketplace has a food court, with different restaurants to choose food from. Ramen had such a meaty, thick broth, and the noodles were al dente, with tender pork bits. Eel needed to be marinated and grilled more. Crepe was good aesthetically pleasing, the fruit inside was good, but it could use less whipped cream. Grocery store: 10/10 Wide selection of Japanese goods both fresh food (meat/fish aisle) and preserved goods (chips, ramen, etc). There is even a bakery, where you can buy fresh break and cake. It's nice that it even has a skincare/makeup aisle where you can buy Japanese goods that are hard to find elsewhere like heroine make mascara, biore sunscreen, and keana nadeshiko face mask. Kinokuniya Book Store: 10/10 If you are a fan of Japanese books and manga this place has everything you need. They sell a lot of fancy pens and markers, Japanese and non Japanese alike. They also have a small aisle of Japanese toys and plushies.

This was definitely a journey from the south side of Chicago ... 2.5 hours roundtrip! So worth it! Due to my long-time craving of authentic Japanese sushi, I knew I had to go. They offer a plethora of Japanese products. From seaweed to fruits to soy sauces, they have it all! Because this one-stop shop's inventory is so vast, their high price tags demonstrate just that. They have a bakery & a variety of different Japanese cuisines in the food court as well as grocery self check outs. Rather than waiting, I opted to buy their ready-made sushi from the market itself. As my picture shows, they're definitely bigger than average sushi restaurant sizes. Craving satisfied! As with any other establishment, I hoped they would remodel, at least the washrooms. It could use a good coat of paint & some new lighting.

One of the best marketplaces I've been to, spent 2 hours in here and still believe I missed out on a lot! First, the food options here are astounding. There was boba, sushi, ramen, crepes, confectionery, etc. There's a dedicated Japanese grocery store as well from types of fishes to appliances and other everyday items. Besides food, there's a local bookstore that carries Japanese literature and gifts. It wasn't ready when I visited, but they're building a Gashapon machine area too! I recommend going to their online website to look at local deals and any upcoming events. Definitely going to revisit if I'm in the area and will be my go-to place!

My new favorite place in Chicago! It has a Books Kinokunia (Japanese Bookstore), a Japanese grocery store, and a food court with all the delicious japanese food! I was so over stimulated, but in a good way. My only regret is that I did not come into this place hungry. We went on a lunch time on a saturday, so there was a lot of people. But even though, our party was able to find a seat right away, and got our food in a reasonable time
